Meet Recap

Continuing on to the second half of the HCTCA Championships in the varsity boys division, Wilden Germain placed 9th overall in the 200m event, running a season best time of 24.08.

In the freshman/sophomore girls division, Rea Silver Chisholm placed 7th overall in the shot put event with a personal best throw of 25’10.5. In the 800m event, Aurora Foberg placed 7th overall with a personal best time of 2:40.92. Despina Hassiotis placed 17th overall with a time of 2:49 and Zoe McConnell placed 25th overall with a personal best time of 2:57. In the 3200m event, Despina and Aurora placed 7th and 8th overall, with personal best times of 13:19 and 13:23 respectively.

Starting off the first half of the HCTCA Championships with the freshman/sophomore girls division, Rea Silver Chisholm placed 4th overall in the discus event with a personal best throw of 68’09.
In the 1600m run, Despina Hassiotis and Aurora Foberg placed 8th and 9th overall with personal best times of 6:12.24 and 6:12.31, respectively. Zoe McConnell placed 15th overall with a time of 6:33.
In the 400m meter run, Katelin Mclaughlin and Cheyenne Langhorne both placed 10th and 14th overall, with personal best times of 1:11 and 1:12, respectively.

Game Recap

Hoboken Redwings Varsity Goes Down On Final Play Against Ferris
It came down to the last play, but Hoboken Redwings Varsity was on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Ferris on Wednesday. The game was tied at seven with Ferris batting in the bottom of the seventh when K Polanco singled off of Aram Assadourian, driving in one run.
Aram Assadourian drove in four runners in the loss. Assadourian drove in runs on a double in the second and a home run in the fifth.
Hoboken Redwings Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. Hoboken Redwings Varsity scored one run when Daniel Burrell singled with two outs in the first inning.
Hoboken Redwings Varsity scored four runs in the fifth inning. Hoboken Redwings Varsity scored on a home run by Assadourian.
R Estrada earned the win for Ferris. He tossed two and a third innings, allowing zero runs, zero hits, striking out two, and walking zero. Yugal Pattni took the loss for Hoboken Redwings Varsity. He threw one-third of an inning, surrendering four runs, four hits, and walking zero.
Lenny Roman started the game for Hoboken Redwings Varsity. He went six innings, giving up four runs, eight hits, and striking out four. S Garcia started the game for Ferris. He threw three and a third innings, allowing three runs, five hits, and striking out three.
Hoboken Redwings Varsity collected nine hits. CJ Smith, Assadourian, Michael Effinger, and Burrell each collected multiple hits for Hoboken Redwings Varsity. Burrell, Effinger, Assadourian, and Smith all had two hits to lead Hoboken Redwings Varsity.
Ferris had 13 hits in the game. F Zayas, K Polanco, L Luna, and M Valentin each collected multiple hits for Ferris.

Game Recap

Hoboken Softball Defeats Ferris Despite Allowing 4-Run Inning

Even though Hoboken gave up four runs in the first inning, it still defeated Ferris 9-5 on Tuesday.

Hoboken took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Destiny Aponte singled off of J Sierra, driving in two runs, Alizea Henriquez singled off of Sierra, driving in one run, and Victoria Bravo singled off of Sierra, driving in two runs.

Natalie Viton earned the win for Hoboken . She threw seven innings, surrendering five runs, nine hits, striking out five, and walking zero.

Hoboken collected 12 hits. Nyasia Mixson, Natalie Viton, and Jaeda Henriquez each collected multiple hits for Hoboken .

Meet Recap

Championship week has begun, starting off with the North Hudson Championships. In the varsity boys division, Wilden Germain tied for 1st place in the 200m dash event with a time of 24.1. Henry Andino placed 6th overall in the 400m run event with a personal best time of 55.3. In the discus event, Justin Sene threw a personal best 66’6.

Over to the freshman/sophomore girls division in the 1600m run, Despina Hessiotis place 1st overall with the winning time of 6:17, her personal best. Aurora Foberg finished right behind her in 2nd place with at time of 6:20. Zoe McConnell finished 7th overall with a time of 6:36. In the 400m run, Katelin McLaughlin placed 2nd overall with a time of 1:12 and Cheyenne Langhorne placed 6th overall with a personal best time of 1:14. Rea Silver Chisholm (competing in the varsity throwing events) tied her personal best throw in the shot put at 23’4 and threw a personal best in the discus at 65’11.

The Hoboken girls lacrosse, seeded #13 in the NORTH JERSEY, SECTION 2, GROUP 1State tournament lost to #4 seeded New Providence High School by a score of 18-4.

Sophomore, Amanda Hichez scored all four goals for Hoboken. Freshman, Kayla Albuja had one assist in the game.
