The Redwings competed at the NJSIAA N2G1 Sectional Championships in Basking Ridge, NJ this past weekend.
Starting off on the boys side, Henry Andino placed 5th overall in the 400m dash with a personal best time of 52.61s. With this performance, Andino moves on to the Group 1 Championships next week.
Andino also placed 10th overall in the 100m dash(11.7s) and 11th overall in the 200m dash(23.57s). Phillip Meikle had a couple of personal best performances in the 400m dash (57.30s, 25th overall) and in the Javelin throw (113’3, 9th overall). Savion Huggins ran his personal best in the 400m dash with a time of 60.8s (33rd overall), while Davion Delgado ran his personal best in the 200m dash (26.12s), placing 37th overall. Angel Quinones finished his season on a strong note, throwing a season best in the shot put (34’1), placing 11th overall.
On the girls side, Aurora Foberg ran a season best in the 800m run (2:41), placing 13th overall. Katelin McLaughlin had a couple of personal best performances, running 67.3s in the 400m dash (15th overall) and 30.35s in the 200m dash (27th overall). Cheyenne Langhorne ran her personal best time in the 200m dash (29.95s), placing 23rd overall. Denise Peguero placed 22nd overall in the 100m dash with her personal best time of 15.28s.
Rea Silver-Chisholm placed 12th overall in the Shot put, throwing 23’6.25.
Next Up, Henry Andino will compete at the Group 1 Championships on Friday, June 1st at Franklin High School in Somerset, NJ.
