Coed Varsity Track · Quinones places in Shot Put; Wholf and Jimenez captures County Freshman 400m Titles

The Redwings competed in the Hudson County Championships hosted at Secaucus High School, coming away with a few results.

Angel Quinones placed 4th overall in the Shot Put event with a toss of 38ft-10in, securing all four points for the men’s team. Quinones also placed 14th overall in the Discus event (85ft-3in).

Staying with the field events, Christopher Figueroa placed 5th overall in the Freshman Boys Discus event with a toss of 72ft-3in.

Heading over to the track, Ty Wholf captured this year’s Hudson County Freshman Boys 400m title, with a personal record time of 55.35. Wholf also placed 3rd in Freshman Boys 200m dash (PR 24.65) and 4th in the Freshman Boys 100m dash (PR 12.11).

Karilynn Jimenez(Fr) has identical results to Wholf, claiming this year’s Hudson County Freshman/Sophomore Girls 400m title with a personal record time of 1:05.12. Jimenez also placed 3rd in the Freshman/Sophomore Girls 200m dash (PR 27.98) and 4th in the Freshman/Sophomore Girls 100m dash (13.91).

Next up for the Redwings Track & Field are NJSIAA N2G1 State Sectionals in Basking Ridge, NJ on Friday , May 24th and Saturday, May 25th.
