As the season winds down to the final stretch, the Redwings competed at the Bill Reid Memorial.
Beginning with the shot put event, Angel Quinones placed 6th overall in the boys varsity division with a personal best throw of 38ft-7in. In the boys novice division, Luis Oquendo placed 6th overall as well, with a personal best throw of 32ft-2in. Joshua Aracena threw his best up to date, with a personal best throw of 26ft-11.25in, placing 14th overall. In the girls novice division, Janiyah Ramos threw a personal best of 17ft-4in, placing 29th overall.
Heading over to the track in the 55 meter dash, Michael Effinger placed 5th overall in the boys novice division, running a personal best time of 7.11s. Alfredo Gonzalez ran 7.51s, placing 22nd overall.
In the 400m dash event, Sebastian Baldisseri placed 21st overall with a time of 61.04. In the 800m run event, Jason Santiago(2:28.73) and Christian Tabora(2:38.65) placed 19th overall and 30th, respectively.
The Redwings will next compete in the Hudson County Championships at The Armory Track in New York City on Monday, January 28th.
